What we see in Pewaukee homes

Pewaukee is really two communities: the Village of Pewaukee at the east end of Pewaukee Lake, and the City of Pewaukee around it, which incorporated in 1999. So the houses split two ways. Around the lake are older homes and cottages that were winterized and added onto over the decades; across the city are 1990s and 2000s subdivisions whose original furnaces and air conditioners are now at replacement age.

A lake home that grew one room at a time usually has ductwork stretched for each addition, and the rooms at the far end are the ones that never keep up. In the newer two-stories, one system serving every floor tends to leave the upstairs warm in July and the finished lower level cool in January.

How we work in Pewaukee

Lake Country houses are rarely alike, so we measure before we recommend anything: airflow to the problem rooms, static pressure and the condition of the equipment. You get a flat-rate price before any work starts, and a new system is sized with a load calculation, permitted when the work requires it and tested at startup.

How it works

What happens when you call A-1

1

You call or text, any hour

A person answers 414-595-5175, not a call center. We ask a few quick questions and give you a real arrival window, not a guess.

2

We find the actual problem

We test before we replace anything and show you the readings, so you can see what failed and why.

3

You approve a flat-rate price

You get the price before any work starts, with repair and replacement options in writing when both make sense. No hourly surprises.

4

We fix it, test it and clean up

Most repairs are finished on the first visit. We test the system, clean up after ourselves and explain what we did.

Good to know

Pewaukee questions we hear most

Do you work on lake homes and converted cottages around Pewaukee Lake?

Yes. A house that was winterized and added onto over the years needs its real airflow measured before anyone sizes equipment for it. We check the ductwork, each addition and the venting route first, then give you the options in writing.

Our 1990s house still has its original furnace and AC. Should we replace both?

Not automatically. We test both and tell you what shape each one is in. If both are near the end, doing them together usually costs less than two separate jobs, and our $1,000-off offer applies when we install both; if one has years left, we say so.

How fast can you get to Pewaukee?

Plan on about 35 minutes from our South Milwaukee shop. No-heat and no-cool calls get priority, we give you a real arrival window when you call, and nights and weekends the line rings Mike’s cell.
