What we see in Hartland homes

Hartland has been a village since 1892, and it grew first as a lake-resort town in the 1890s before becoming the bedroom community it is today. The housing reflects both eras: older homes and lake cottages near Nagawicka and North Lake, and postwar subdivisions that filled in over the decades after. A cottage that was winterized decades ago usually has ductwork added piecemeal, and the rooms furthest from the furnace are the ones that never quite catch up.

The postwar and later subdivisions are mostly on their second or third furnace by now, with central air added after the fact on ductwork that wasn’t built for it. Larger homes near the lakes sometimes run two systems, and the second one is often the one nobody has looked at in years.

How we work in Hartland

A cottage that’s been added onto for decades and a 1970s subdivision house get the same honest diagnosis: we measure the actual airflow, show you the readings, and give you a flat-rate price before any work starts. New equipment is sized with a load calculation, permitted when the work requires it and tested at startup.

How it works

What happens when you call A-1

1

You call or text, any hour

A person answers 414-595-5175, not a call center. We ask a few quick questions and give you a real arrival window, not a guess.

2

We find the actual problem

We test before we replace anything and show you the readings, so you can see what failed and why.

3

You approve a flat-rate price

You get the price before any work starts, with repair and replacement options in writing when both make sense. No hourly surprises.

4

We fix it, test it and clean up

Most repairs are finished on the first visit. We test the system, clean up after ourselves and explain what we did.

Good to know

Hartland questions we hear most

We have an old cottage near Nagawicka Lake that’s been winterized. Can you still size equipment for it properly?

Yes. We measure the real airflow and condition of the ductwork rather than go by the home’s age or square footage alone, then size any replacement to the house as it actually performs.

Is Hartland really in your service area?

Yes. It’s about 40 minutes from our South Milwaukee shop, and the service call costs the same as anywhere else we work: $99 on weekdays, $179 nights, weekends and holidays.

How fast can you get to Hartland?

About 40 minutes from our South Milwaukee shop. No-heat calls get priority, we give you a real arrival window when you call, and the emergency line is answered 24/7.
