What we see in Milwaukee homes
The City of Milwaukee has some of the oldest housing in the state: bungalows, duplexes and Polish flats on the South Side and in Riverwest, older two-story homes on the East Side, and brick Tudors and colonials in neighborhoods like Washington Heights. A large share of these homes still heat with hot-water or steam boilers, and many forced-air homes were converted from old gravity systems, with oversized supply trunks and too little return air. Duplexes often have two furnaces and two water heaters in one basement, and the upper unit is usually the one that runs cold in January and hot in July.
When an older 80% furnace is replaced with a high-efficiency model, the water heater can be left alone in an oversized chimney that may need a liner; we check that before we quote, not after. We also work in condos and converted loft buildings, where access and association rules shape the plan.
What we do in Milwaukee
Boiler repair and replacement, hot-water and steam, including one-pipe steam
Furnace repair and replacement, with venting and chimney checks done before we quote
Duplex and multi-unit service for owner-occupants, landlords and property managers
Ductless mini-splits for radiator homes, upper flats and attic bedrooms
Central AC repair and replacement, with condensers placed with proper clearance on tight city lots
Commercial HVAC for restaurants, shops and small buildings

City of Milwaukee permits are pulled when the work requires them, and every install is tested at startup. 3
You approve a flat-rate price
You get the price before any work starts, with repair and replacement options in writing when both make sense. No hourly surprises.

We fix it, test it and clean up
Most repairs are finished on the first visit. We test the system, clean up after ourselves and explain what we did.
Good to know
Milwaukee questions we hear most
Do you serve the whole City of Milwaukee?
Yes, every neighborhood, from Bay View and the South Side to the East Side, Riverwest, Sherman Park and the Northwest Side. Our shop is in South Milwaukee, so the South Side is closest; most of the city is 20 to 40 minutes away.
Can you work on both units of my duplex?
Yes. We can service both furnaces, or a shared boiler, on the same visit, coordinate access with tenants if you are the landlord, and send the report and invoice to the owner.
Can I get central air in a Milwaukee home with radiators?
Usually the cleanest answer is a ductless mini-split system: a few quiet indoor units and no ductwork through plaster walls. In some homes an attic air handler with ducts run through closets works too. We look at the house and show you both options.
Do I need a permit to replace a furnace or boiler in Milwaukee?
Yes. In the City of Milwaukee a furnace, boiler or central air replacement needs a permit and an inspection. We pull the permit, schedule the inspection and include the cost in your written price.
