What we see in New Berlin homes

New Berlin grew mostly from the 1960s through the 1990s, so we see a lot of ranches, split-levels and two-story colonials. Many of these homes are on their second furnace, and plenty are still running the original central air.

Split-levels in particular are hard to heat and cool evenly, and the lower level is often the cold spot. On the larger lots further west, long duct runs and undersized returns are common.

How we work in New Berlin

Honest diagnosis with the readings in front of you, and a flat-rate price before any work starts. New systems are sized with a load calculation, installed clean, permitted through the City of New Berlin when required, and fully tested at startup.

How it works

What happens when you call A-1

1

You call or text, any hour

A person answers 414-595-5175, not a call center. We ask a few quick questions and give you a real arrival window, not a guess.

2

We find the actual problem

We test before we replace anything and show you the readings, so you can see what failed and why.

3

You approve a flat-rate price

You get the price before any work starts, with repair and replacement options in writing when both make sense. No hourly surprises.

4

We fix it, test it and clean up

Most repairs are finished on the first visit. We test the system, clean up after ourselves and explain what we did.

Good to know

New Berlin questions we hear most

My furnace is original to the house. Should I repair it or replace it?

Age alone is not the answer. We check the heat exchanger, the combustion readings and what the repair costs against a new system, and put the reasoning on paper. Our repair-or-replace guide explains how we decide.

Can you add air conditioning to a house that never had it?

Yes. If the house has ductwork we can add central AC; if it does not, ductless mini-splits are usually the cleanest way to cool it.

How fast can you get to New Berlin?

New Berlin is about 25 minutes from our South Milwaukee shop. No-heat and no-cool calls usually get same-day service, and the emergency line is answered 24/7.
